Basic training

Basic training is the key to raising an obedient, confident and happy pet. Mastering simple but vital commands makes your life together comfortable, safe and joyful. At Pulpa, we teach pets the basics of behavior, creating a solid foundation for further training and strengthening your relationship.

  • "Sit" One of the simplest and most useful commands that helps control your pet in any situation - whether it's meeting guests, walking, or waiting for food.

  • "Lie down" A command that allows you to calm your pet and prepare it for more complex exercises. It is also a convenient way to control your pet in places with a lot of people or animals.

  • "Next to" A skill that makes walks calm and safe. Your pet learns to walk next to you without pulling on the leash, even in the presence of distractions.

  • "No" or "No" One of the most important commands that helps prevent dangerous or unwanted actions, such as picking up food from the ground or damaging things in the house.

  • "Come to me" A command that ensures your pet's safety and control in any situation. It is especially important for walks without a leash or in unfamiliar surroundings.

  • "Place" Teaching your dog to return to a specific place in the house, such as a bed or rug. This helps regulate your pet's behavior in situations where he needs to rest or stay away.

How does training work?

Pet behavior assessment: We start with an analysis of your pet’s character, energy level, and current skills. This helps us choose the most appropriate training methods.

Using positive reinforcement: We use treats, praise, and games to motivate your pet to follow commands. A positive approach creates a desire to learn and enjoy the process in the animal.

Gradual mastering of commands: Each command is introduced gradually, starting with simple conditions and moving on to more complex ones, such as with distractions or in different settings.

Real-life practice: We conduct classes not only at home or in the training room, but also outside, so that your pet can confidently follow commands in real life.

Owner training: It is important that you understand how to use commands correctly in everyday life. We train owners on how to work with their pets to maintain and strengthen the acquired skills.

Who can undergo basic training?

Puppies, starting from 3-4 months, to develop good habits from the very beginning.

Adult pets who need to correct their behavior or learn commands from scratch.

Pets of any breed and size - our approach is adapted to the individual characteristics of each animal.

Training puppies

The puppyhood period is the time when the pet discovers the world around him, learns to interact with it and learns key skills that will accompany him throughout his life. At Pulpa, we help your puppy adapt to new conditions, lay the foundations for proper behavior and teach basic skills so that his growing up takes place in an atmosphere of harmony and joy.

  • Forming habits: Puppies learn quickly, and it is in the first months of their life that it is important to establish good habits to avoid difficulties in the future.

  • Socialization: At this age, puppies learn to interact with people, other animals and the environment. This builds their confidence and helps to avoid fears or aggression in the future.

  • Preventing problems: Much of what we call "bad behavior" is the result of a lack of early training. The earlier training begins, the fewer problems will arise later.

What does puppy training include?

Basic commands: The puppy learns simple but important commands such as:
"Sit" and "Lie down" - for calm behavior.
"Come" - to ensure safety.
"No" or "No" - to avoid unwanted actions.
"Place" - for quiet rest in a certain area.

Socialization: We introduce the puppy to different sounds, people, other animals and situations so that he grows up confident and adaptive. This helps to avoid fear of loud sounds, unfamiliar people or visiting new places.

House rules: Teaching the puppy the basic rules in the house:
Where it can and cannot be.
Where to sleep, eat and play.
How to use the toilet (training to a diaper or the street).

Play training: We use games as a teaching method so that the puppy learns in a fun way. This helps develop his intelligence, energy and affection for the owner.

Behavior control: We teach the puppy to control his impulses - not to chew furniture, not to jump on people, not to pull on the leash during a walk.

How does training take place?

Individual approach: We start with an assessment of the character, breed and characteristics of the puppy in order to adapt the training to its needs.

Positive reinforcement: Training is based on rewards - treats, praise and games. This forms positive associations with the puppy's performance of commands.

Practice in real situations: Lessons are held at home, outdoors and in other real settings so that the skills are applied in any situation.

Owner training: We explain to you how to continue training at home in order to consolidate skills and make the puppy training process effective.

The results you will get:

Obedient and confident puppy: Your pet will follow basic commands and feel comfortable anywhere.

Socially adapted friend: The puppy will learn to interact with people, children, animals and get used to different conditions.

Happy pet: Training with care and games helps the puppy develop intelligence, energy and affection for you.

🐾

You can start training a puppy as early as 8 weeks. The sooner you start, the faster the puppy will adapt and begin to learn the right habits.

Behavior correction

Each pet is unique, and sometimes its behavior can create difficulties for owners. Barking without reason, aggression, damage to things or fear are common problems that many people face. At Pulpa, we help owners understand the root of the problem and work to eliminate it so that the pet becomes calmer, more confident and obedient.

What problems do we solve?

Excessive barking: If your pet barks at strangers, sounds or for no apparent reason, we will teach him to manage his emotions. We use methods that help reduce anxiety or excitability that cause barking.

Destruction of things: Chewing furniture, tearing clothes or playing with forbidden objects? We identify the reasons for this behavior (boredom, stress or energy) and redirect the pet's attention to appropriate activities, such as toys or games.

Aggression: If your pet shows aggression towards other animals or people, we work to eliminate this problem. Our trainers use safe methods to reduce stress levels and teach the pet calm behavior in trigger situations.

Fears and Anxiety: Many pets are afraid of loud noises, unfamiliar people, travel or even loneliness. We help animals cope with these fears through gradual adaptation and confidence building.

Walking Problems: If your pet pulls on the leash, reacts to other dogs or disobeys on the street, we teach them the rules of behavior on walks, making them comfortable and safe.

Hyperactivity: Pets who cannot sit still or become overexcited learn to control their energy and find the right ways to release it.

How does behavior correction work?

Diagnostics: We start with a consultation to understand the reasons for unwanted behavior. This could be a lack of socialization, fear, stress, or improper interaction with the pet.

Individual plan: Each correction program is created taking into account the characteristics of your pet. We select methods that are suitable for him, be it training, games, or changing environmental conditions.

Positive reinforcement: In our work, we use only humane methods. Rewards for correct behavior help the pet to consolidate new skills without stress and fear.

Adaptation to real situations: After practicing skills in a calm environment, we gradually introduce distractions so that the pet can apply new knowledge in everyday life.

Training owners: We explain to owners how to properly respond to unwanted behavior, manage the situation, and maintain the achieved result.

Examples from our practice

The case of Bruno: A Labrador who was afraid of loud sounds and refused to go outside. We started by creating a safe environment at home, gradually introducing sounds through audio recordings and rewarding for calm behavior. After a few weeks, Bruno was able to walk calmly even in noisy places.

The case of Zoe: A small dog who reacted aggressively to guests. We taught the owners how to properly introduce their pet to new people, and taught Zoe calm alternative actions instead of barking.

Why is behavior correction important?

Safety: Eliminating aggression and fears makes your pet safe for others and itself.
Comfort: Solving behavioral problems improves your daily life and makes living together more enjoyable.
Pet happiness: Pets who get rid of fear and anxiety become more confident and happy.
Harmony: Eliminating problematic moments strengthens your bond with your pet and improves your interaction.
